People at Gramener are always enthusiastic about two things – data storytelling and talking about data storytelling.
In July 2020, Gramener was honored to be invited by some reputed institutions in India to deliver guest lectures. Here’s a recap of our virtual visits and knowledge sharing with the young minds of India.
The Centre for Marketing in Emerging Economies at IIM Lucknow invited Anand Madhav, our Associate Director – Data Sciences, to give a talk and online workshop on 6th July 2020. Anand held a virtual session on the power of data storytelling and laid out a 6-step framework to narrate data stories. To know more about the session, check out the slides.
IIFT – Delhi invited Anand to give a talk on 21st July 2020. His session was a part of IIFT’s edition of “IMPACT” – The Virtual Guest Lecture Series. Anand interacted with students and presented the key ingredients of a data story. He gave real-world examples and tools needed to assemble a data story. You can check out the slides from Anand’s session to know more about the anatomy of the data story.
Rasagy Sharma, our Principal information Designer, was invited to speak by Symbiosis Institute of Business Management on 24th July 2020. Rasagy held a virtual session on storytelling with data and how it is impacting the business world. His focus was to make the students understand how data stories are the next-gen tool for business leaders to assimilate and act on actionable insights rapidly.
Rasagy shared with students four easy steps to create data stories. Check out the slides from his session to grab notes and highlights from the session.
Jaidev Deshpande, Gramener’s Assoc. Principal Data Scientist, delivered an online class on YouTube live in collaboration with SpringBoard India. This video is a handy tutorial if you are planning to learn and transition into data science or machine learning, and is suitable for both freshers and technology professionals. Check out the recording of the session.
We, as humans, are hard-coded to remember stories. Stories are memorable, viral, and convey exceptional messages. The School of Business Management – NMIMS, invited Kanishk Kumar to speak on the impact of data stories on business decisions on 30th July 2020.
Kanishk emphasized on data storytelling being the critical skill for new-age data scientists and analysts. He shared real-time examples of how Gramener helps its clients with data storytelling to accelerate the decision-making process. To get full highlights from Kanishk’s session, do check out the slides.
That’s all for July. We’ll come back next month with another edition of Gramener Talks and share some valuable content, slides, and session-highlights on data science and data storytelling.
Yes! We do have experts who teach data storytelling to business users, data scientists, and analytics experts. We identified that insights are easy to find but presenting them as memorable stories is yet an unpolished skill. Check out our data storytelling workshop and contact us to schedule a session.
